ALTER EGO INVERSO
An interview with Merlin Tuttle (VOST)
They are the bats, these mysterious and fascinating young mammals of the night. He is s Merlin Tuttle, aka Batman, as he is fondly referred to. This extraordinary scientist has spent over sixty years of his life studying them. He took them under his wing when everyone was afraid of them. He travels the six continents to photograph tens of thousands of their portraits and activities, which established his reputation as a legendary photographer for National Geographic. But beyond that, he was one of the first conservation biologists to understand and share their extremely valuable sophistication. Their great fragility also. Through his organization, Merlin Tuttle’s Bat Conservation [MTBC], he continues the much needed work of helping humans understand how to live harmoniously with nature and to righteously appreciate these masters of the night sky.
